Description:
- Provide leadership and management to a distributed team of over 20 employees, over 600 volunteer supervisors, over 3,000,000 registered users and 10’s of millions of unregistered users.
- Building the best community team: first in the US and then internationally
- Give the community team a clear strong voice when interacting with product management, marketing and senior management.
- Manage a senior experienced team, responsible for various WikiAnswers® efforts: mentoring, content quality initiatives, content abuse, expanding and growing our volunteer community etc..
- Set the priorities to build and manage the community roadmap of WikiAnswers® as it grows to become the number one Q&A site on the web.
- Identify success metrics for community contribution, quality, and growth.
- Set goals for improving WikiAnswers® metrics and coordinate with the rest of the company to deliver against those goals.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of community management related experience for a web company or online game company in a senior management role
- Ability to get along with everybody
- Demonstrated ability to manage a metric-driven community support team
- Intimate familiarity with volunteer moderator issues
- Bachelors degree or extensive experience in quantitative discipline
- Direct experience managing an internationally distributed team
- Extensive experience with social media, especially administrating a widely used wiki- a plus.
